Construction starting to relocate utility lines on Huber Rd.

SEGUIN, Texas – TxDOT is moving forward with a $30 million project to improve frontage roads along IH 10 between State Highway 46 and State Highway 123 Business (Austin Street). The state mandated the City of Seguin to relocate all existing water and sewer lines in that area.

The city will begin moving sewer lines along Huber Road. Construction on this project will begin on Monday, August 31st.

“Drivers need to use extreme caution when traveling in this area. It’s important to watch for detour signs, barricades or flaggers conducting traffic control,” said Morgan Ash, Public Information Officer.

During construction, it may be necessary to completely shut-down Huber Road or just reduce traffic to one-lane during work hours. The contractor will work to re-open the road at the end of the business day.

Residents are asked not to contact the contractor or its workers. If you have questions or comments regarding the project, please call Capital Projects/Engineering at 401-2776. The city appreciates your patience during construction.
