Get NUTTY during 2016 Pecan Fest
SEGUIN, Texas –Experience REAL Texas history, culture and lots of pecans at this year’s Pecan Fest. Expect three full days of Real Fun all over the city including Central Park, Teatro de Artes, the Texas Agricultural Education and Heritage Center and Sebastopol House to name a few.
"Pecan Fest is a great Seguin tradition. There is something for everyone at Pecan Fest, from the history nut to the food nut," said Kyle Kramm, Director of Main Street and CVB.

Friday, Oct. 28th:
Enjoy pecan-inspired food and drink at the Chop House and Bar 217 at the Park Plaza Hotel and Tavern on the Creek. Head over to Central Park and register for the first ever Pecan Pub Crawl and experience nightlife in downtown Seguin. You can also register online at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/pecan-fest-pub-crawl-tickets-28240637507?aff=efbneb. Get a lanyard and then stop by the participating bars between 7 P.M. and 11 P.M. to receive a special prize.
Saturday, Oct. 29th:
Central Park is the Trade Days Market headquarters. A hundred vendors are packed into the downtown square. Head over to the Sebastopol House for free tours of the historic limecrete structure. Also on the grounds is the 14th Annual Wilson Pottery Show where you can see and buy new and antique pottery.
Teatro de Artes is hosting several art activities, including the Seguin Art League’s project of repurposing materials to create a chandelier and the Seguin Main Street Program’s hat decorating booth for the Hats Off to Juan Seguin Parade later in the evening.
Experience the rural heritage of Seguin at the Texas Agricultural Education and Heritage Center. Tour the Pecan museum and enjoy a delicious turkey dinner while at the Center.
Saturday night kicks off the 1st Annual Pecan Party featuring Hats Off to Juan Seguin! We’re shutting down the 100 block of Gonzales Street for the hat parade and street dance party. Tin Roof will be playing live music with beverages provided by The Oak Tavern and Seguin Brewing and food provided by the Chop House.
Sunday, Oct. 30th:
Take a tour of the historical Riverside Cemetery and learn about eight distinguished Seguin pioneers through re-enactments. You can learn more about our Real history by stopping by our new library and taking a tour from 1 to 4 P.M. ###
