Mayor Proclaims Great Kindness Challenge Week
Proclamation Presented to McQueeney Elementary
SEGUIN, Texas – Mayor Don Keil has signed a second proclamation designating January 26-30 as The Great Kindness Challenge Week in Seguin. The proclamation was presented Friday at McQueeney Elementary.
“As mayor, I deal with a lot of people. Some of them are nice and some of them not so nice,” Mayor Keil told students. “What I’ve found through life is that if you have somebody nice that you are dealing with, not only will you want to do something for them, they will want to help you. I challenge you all throughout life to try to be as kind as you can to people around you.”
McQueeney Elementary students are participating in themed days and working on kindness checklists to spread acts of kindness across the campus and community. Mayor Keil delivered his message to students via McQTV, the school’s closed-circuit student-produced daily live newscast.
