Seguin Fire Department Collects Thousands for MDA
Muscular Dystrophy Association Benefits from Fill the Boot Campaign

SEGUIN, Texas – Thanks to the generosity of the community, thousands of dollars will soon be donated to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. The Seguin Fire Department’s annual Fill the Boot campaign raised $5,112.

“This is a great example of the generosity of the people who live here,” Seguin Fire Department Chief Dale Skinner said. “When people see firefighters out collecting money in those boots, they immediately know it’s for a great cause.”

Firefighters took to the streets on three occasions to raise money. The intersection of N. King Street and E. Court Street and the intersection of N. Austin Street and E. Court Street were each utilized in June. Firefighters also collected during the annual Biggest Small Town Parade in Texas on the Fourth of July.
