Community Invited to “Light Up Seguin”
Free Event Offers Unique Exercise Atmosphere

SEGUIN, Texas – The Pecan Bottom Trail at Max Starcke Park will be illuminated in a unique way on the night of Friday, May 30. The community is invited to come to the free event and light up with glow sticks, LEDs or anything else the imagination can conjure.

“We’re excited because this is the first time to try this out,” Assistant Director of Seguin Parks and Recreation Crystal Miranda said. “This is a great opportunity for the community to come out, have fun and get some tips on bicycle safety and the correct way to use the trail.”

Walkers, joggers, skateboarders, stroller, bicycle and scooter riders are invited to use trail while brightly illuminated. Participants should meet at the Patricia Irvine-King Large Pavilion at Max Starke Park at 8 p.m. The event takes place at the Pecan Bottom Trail from 8:30-9:30 p.m. Participants are encouraged to bring their own water.

Light Up Seguin is sponsored by the Seguin Wellness Task Force and Seguin Parks and Recreation.
