Jennifer Gauna receives March Employee of the Month Award

Jennifer Gauna recognized for “getting things done” and received March Employee of the Month Award

SEGUIN, Texas – When you receive a nomination that begins with “there are too many reasons to count why Jennifer Gauna deserves this recognition” it’s hard to ignore. That’s why Gauna was selected as the March 2017 Employee of the Month for the City of Seguin. The Senior Administrative Assistant to the Assistant City Manager just celebrated her one year anniversary with the city, and this award goes to show it’s been a successful first year at City Hall.

“I am excited about receiving the Employee of the Month Award and am even more thrilled that it was partially due to the Connect Seguin Loop project. The efforts made to create better signage and a more reliable route paid off in a big way,” said Gauna.

Nominated by Public Information Officer Morgan Ash for her determination to complete major projects, she describes Gauna as “the most organized, energetic, go-getter that she has ever met.” Ash also highlighted two of Gauna’s major accomplishments the past year: revamping the Connect Seguin Bus System and coordinating the branding of all vehicles in the city’s fleet.

“Jennifer worked with AACOG to simplify the bus route making it more efficient and reliable for customers, and in turn, has increased ridership. She also made sure that over 100 vehicles from more than a dozen city departments had all of the old, faded logos removed, and were replaced with the new brand. They look great!” said Ash. ###
