Several Downtown Streets to Close for Holiday Events

SEGUIN, Texas – Seguin’s annual holiday events will require the temporary closure of several downtown streets December 3, 4 and 5.

Holiday Stroll Parade, December 3

The Holiday Stroll Parade route follows Austin Street from College to Nolte Streets. This portion of Austin Street will close just prior to the 6:30 p.m. parade start and reopen immediately after its conclusion. Traffic will not be allowed to cross the parade route during the event.

The following streets around Central Park will close at 5 p.m. and reopen shortly after 8:30 p.m. for the lighting of the park ceremony:

• River Street between Court and Nolte Streets

• Donegan Street between Austin and Crockett Streets

• Nolte Street between Austin and Crockett Streets

Parade Pick-Up (new this year)

At the end of the parade, floats will turn left on Camp Street. Parade participants can be picked up at St. James Catholic Church parking lot (510 Camp Street).

Sip ‘n Stroll, December 4

The following streets around Central Park will close at 5 p.m. and reopen shortly after 8:30 p.m. for the Sip ‘n Stroll event:

• River Street between Court and Nolte Streets

• Donegan Street between Austin and Crockett Streets

• Nolte Street between Austin and Crockett Streets

North Pole Stroll, December 5

The following streets around Central Park will close at 9:30 a.m. and reopen shortly after 4 p.m. for the North Pole Stroll:

• River Street between Court and Nolte Streets

• Donegan Street between Austin and Crockett Streets

• Nolte Street between Austin and Crockett Streets

Pedestrian traffic will be heavy for all events. Drivers are encouraged to exercise extra caution while driving in the area during the events.
