Children's Programs

The Seguin Public Library Youth Services Department provides programs for children so that they may come to know the library as a place of adventure and discovery. Programs include:

  • Interactive storytimes that support early literacy for children ages 0-5
  • Dual language storytimes that support language-learning for both native English and Spanish speakers best suited for ages 3-11
  • Literature, STEM, and arts-based programming for children of all ages including:
    • Book Parties celebrate books series with games, read alouds, and science activities
    • LEGO Club invites children to build a creation for display in the library
    • Crafty Kids offers young children easy crafts that develop 
    • Tween Craft Club gives older children an opportunity to create cool crafts like keychains
    • Family Movie Night provides fun, free entertainment with a popular movie on the big screen
    • Paws to Read gives children the chance to practice reading aloud to a certified therapy dog
  • Annual Summer Reading Programs to support summer learning
