Training

It is the goal of the Seguin Police Department to maintain an efficient and well-trained department to comply with all state mandated training and certifications. All Texas Law Enforcement training is regulated by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement, (T.C.O.L.E). The Texas Commission on Law Enforcement was established on August 30, 1965, to enforce standards and ensure that the people of Texas are served by highly trained and ethical law enforcement, corrections, and telecommunications personnel. The Seguin Police Department, in addition to the state mandatory training, conducts approved T.C.O.L.E. in-service training which assists us in meeting the 40 hour training cycle requirements. To attend training hosted by the Seguin Police Department you must be employed by a law enforcement agency.
