The Seguin Public Library recognizes that art has the power to enhance the quality of life of a community. Art exhibitions can enrich the library experience by presenting a wide range of art; supporting community culture and artistic activities; enhancing and increasing community appreciation of the arts; and helping local and regional artists increase their public exposure.
To fulfill this experience, the Seguin Public Library Art Committee is soliciting exhibit applications for the long-awaited 2023 Fall Rotating Art Exhibit which will open on September 30, 2023, and run through December 13, 2023. Applications, along with the Rotating Art Exhibit Policy and Release of Liability Form, are available at library service desks or can be downloaded from this page.
Completed applications, a photograph of the artwork, a brief artist bio, and a signed Release of Liability form must be turned in at the library no later than September 10th by 5:00 p.m. to be considered for the 2023 Fall exhibit. If selected, artwork should be ready to hang with wire. No saw-toothed hangers, loop hangers, clips or plastic box frames will be allowed. Corner pads should be used on the back of art works to protect the walls from marks or other damage. The Library Art Committee will announce the works selected for display on September 22nd.
