Library Services

The mission of the Seguin Public Library is to provide books and materials based on local demand, general reference information and assistance, opportunities for lifelong learning, and access to local history, cultural and genealogy resources to all citizens of Seguin and Guadalupe County.

To achieve this goal the library maintains a rich collection of print and non-print materials and offers a wide variety of programs for adults, teens and children.

We believe the use and understanding of modern technologies is crucial to being an informed member of society, to that end we provide free access to the hardware and software needed to assist patrons in their research and creative endeavors.

Feel free to ask, we are happy to help you find the information you seek. Looking for the answer to a quick fact or trivia question? Need help with a research project? Can't find a favorite recipe? Our qualified library staff can help you with your reference inquiries.

Are you trying to track down what the next book in a series is, or are you looking for a recommendation for a good book based on what you have enjoyed reading? Reader's Advisory service is the answer.  Let us help you find your next great read.

If we do not have the book, video or audiobook you seek we might be able to borrow it from another library through our Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service.
