Each spring, the Seguin Police Department hosts its Annual Badges, Bikes and Tykes Picnic at Starcke Park East. The event features a free lunch, lots of games and prizes and a chance for children ages 16 and under to win a free bike or skateboard. The 2023 Badges, Bikes & Tykes event will be held from 11 am to 2 pm on Saturday, May 20, 2023.
The Badges, Bikes, and Tykes Picnic is an opportunity for the kids of Seguin to meet Seguin police officers and firefighters, and to get to know them as regular people rather than just first responders.
The bicycles and skateboards given away are purchased through Wal-Mart below their cost using funds donated by individuals and businesses within the community. We hope that you and/or your agency will consider making a donation to help us make this event a huge success for our area children.
Want to donate for this program? We are always seeking out area businesses and citizens to help with donations - either monetary or for one or more of the items needed below to make this picnic a continual success:
- New bicycles in a wide range of sizes
- Water
- Items for the free lunch
- Games
- Door prizes
If you would like to make a donation, please stop by the Seguin Police Department or send a check to:
