The City of Seguin Electric Department is responsible for maintaining the City's municipally owned and operated power distribution systems and three substations. The city, which owns its own electricity distribution system, purchases wholesale power from CPS Energy in San Antonio.
In addition to maintaining the electricity distribution system, the Department is also responsible for maintaining security and street lighting, responding to electrical outages, customer requests and resolutions. The Department also provides the construction needed to extend electrical service to new customers and for all Capital Improvement Projects.
Located in the Utilities Operation Center at 3027 North Austin Street, our staff of well-trained employees strive to provide prompt and courteous attention to the citizens of Seguin. We value customer service, teamwork, training, professionalism and safety.
