Operations
The division responds to a variety of calls, including: emergency medical calls (EMS), structure fires, rescues, automobile accidents, lockouts, public assistance and a variety of other calls for service. Additionally, fire station personnel are responsible for pre-fire plans of businesses, participating in continuing education and skills training, maintaining their equipment and stations, and conducting public education events.
We deliver these services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, with the goal of responding promptly with adequate personnel who are trained and equipped to handle the emergency situation. The number of resources within the department, the training and preparation of field personnel, and the deployment of those resources are important to our mission and are included in our annual planning to ensure our ability to meet our response goals.
