SEGUIN, Texas - The Seguin Fire recently added three sets of Hurst extrication tools that will help in rescue efforts when individuals are trapped in vehicle accidents.
Seguin City Council approved purchasing the life-saving equipment near the end of 2022.
The new extrication tools, commonly referred to as the "Jaws-of-Life," are battery powered, replacing the hydraulic extrication tools previously used by the SFD.
In early March, the extrication tools were placed into service.
