SEGUIN, Texas – Downtown Seguin will be lit up Thursday evening, November 30, 2023 when the annual Holiday Stroll Parade rolls through the heart of the city.
The parade, which kicks off two nights of downtown holiday fun, begins at 6:30 pm on Thursday, November 30 at the intersection of College and Austin Streets. The Holiday Stroll Parade features entries from local and area businesses & organizations illuminated with lights to celebrate the upcoming holidays. The parade proceeds south on Austin Street to Central Park. After the parade, the community is invited to gather in Central Park for the annual tree lighting by Mayor Dodgen. The mayor will also announce the winners of the parade and the Christmas Tree Decorating Contest.
This year's parade grand marshal is the Guadalupe County Fair Association. In selecting the organization as this year’s Grand Marshal for the parade, Mayor Donna Dodgen said, "The Guadalupe County Fair has been a staple in our community for the past 140 years and is the third oldest county fair in Texas. In a tribute to recognize the fair’s heritage and numerous contributions to the youth in our community, it is fitting that the Guadalupe County Fair Association be honored in this way, ” she said.
