Founded in 1877, The Seguin Fire/EMS Department is one of the oldest fire departments in the state of Texas. The men and women of this great department have provided emergency services for the City of Seguin and much of surrounding Guadalupe County for the last 140 years. The department provides fire suppression, rescue, advanced life support emergency medical services, fire prevention, public education, building inspections, hazardous materials response, emergency management and an array of community programs to the citizens of Seguin.

The Seguin Fire Department has highly trained firefighters working with the latest technologies with an all-hazards approach service delivery. The department is comprised of career and volunteer personnel cross-trained in firefighting and emergency medical care. Three platoons work the traditional 24-48-hour shift rotation.
