City Court Clerk receives major award at conference

SEGUIN, Texas – City leaders are proud to announce a major accomplishment of a staff member. Municipal Court Administrator Landra Solansky received Distinguished Service Award from the Texas Court Clerks Association during their annual conference earlier this month.

“I was honored to receive recognition from this amazing organization. TCCA provides quality education to over 1,000 Court Clerks in Texas,” said Solansky.

According to the TCCA, the award “recognizes a service, program, task or endeavor performed by an individual in a court profession, serving in a non-judicial capacity, which benefits the entire membership in a distinctive way by showing dedication and commitment”.

Paul Rex, the Jersey Village Municipal Court Clerk, presented the award to Solansky during a conference banquet. In his speech, he describes her as “one of those rare people that actually gives of herself unconditionally and unselfishly… helps take [continuing] education to remote areas so that other clerks can get education hours towards certification… she adds excitement to every situation.”

“I am proud to serve on the Board of Directors and the Education Committee of this association. I appreciate the support I have received from the Municipal Court staff and City of Seguin Management,” added Solansky.

TCCA’s Distinguished Service Award can only be received once. Solanksky was also elected Vice President of the Texas Court Clerks Association during the conference. She is also currently President of the local chapter of TCCA.
