Search for suspect continues in double homicide case
SEGUIN, Texas – Investigators are searching for clues in a double homicide investigation.  The complex crime scene involves multiple locations and witnesses which police are currently combing through.

Police were investigating an unrelated incident around 5:44 A.M. Sunday morning when they overheard “5 or 6 gunshots”. They immediately began to search the area for someone discharging a firearm.

A minute later, dispatch received a call that multiple gunshot victims were found in a residence on the 500 block of Baxter (about a mile north of where the officers were located when they heard the shots). They arrived on scene minutes later and two fatally wounded gunshot victims inside the duplex.

After securing the crime scene, officers discovered that the connecting duplex residence to the east also received multiple gunshots through the front door and door window.

The victims are a 64-year old Hispanic female and a 30-year old Hispanic male.  Initial investigation revealed that the two victims were related (mother and son).  During a canvass of the street, police learned that at approximately 2:15 a.m., prior to the shooting, neighbors reported "loud banging" on residences located on the same street.

The double homicide remains under investigation by the Seguin Police Department.  If you have information in this case, please call (830) 379-2123 or contact Guadalupe Crime Stoppers and remain anonymous by calling the tip line 877-403-TIPS. You can also submit a tip online at ###
