Rainy weather causes delays with brush pick-up service, but crews are working hard to keep up
Last fall, the city implemented a five-week schedule, dividing the city into five zones. The brush department posts a quarterly schedule on the city’s website. Brush crews spend one week focusing on each zone. You can find your zone by looking up your street: http://www.seguintexas.gov/public_works/detail/brush_department/ .
However, due to the recent heavy rain, and volume of brush, the department has not been able to follow the schedule this quarter. Residents can get the latest information by checking our website, Facebook Page and Twitter.
For the week of June 22 – 26, crews will complete Zone 2, and move to Zone A. Next week (June 29 – July 4), they will focus on parade route areas. Residents need to be aware that inclement weather could disrupt and delay brush crews from completing their scheduled routes. We will post any changes or delays on our website and social media accounts.
