Pat Hoppe Honored for Thirty Years of Championing the Arts
Seguin Commission on the Arts Recognizes Hoppe with 2015 Arts Enrichment Award

SEGUIN, Texas – The Seguin Commission on the Arts congratulates Pat Hoppe on receiving the 2015 Arts Enrichment Award. The award was presented Saturday night during the organization’s CelebrARTe event at the Texas Theater.

“For over thirty years, Pat Hoppe, through the volunteering of her creativity and leadership, has promoted the performing arts in Seguin,” said Dennis Martin in his nomination letter. “Her talents and energies have focused on the cultural life of the community by entertaining audiences and bringing aspiring and talented actors and production crews to the stage.”

Pat began her quest with walk-on roles for plays and since has acted and starred in local and regional productions of community theater. She began nurturing the arts in Seguin when she was the director and Montessori teacher at Emanuel's Lutheran Church Day School. Pat always involved the children in visual and performing arts projects. Pat eventually brought together her stage, managerial and leadership skills and began directing plays, serving on the Texas Theatre Management Team and establishing and organizing the annual Historic Riverside Cemetery Tour in Seguin.

The Arts Enrichment Award honors the contribution of an organization or individual for unwavering support and promotion of the arts. In 2012, the Seguin Commission on the Arts granted the first Arts Enrichment Award to the Stephen and Mary Birch Texas Theater. The following year, Teatro De Artes De Juan Seguin received the coveted award. In 2014, Marie-Carmel Bordes received the recognition.
