Heideke-Martindale-Stremple Sanitary Sewer Extension Underway
Project to Serve Growth Along SH 123 Bypass

SEGUIN, Texas – As Seguin moves forward into an unprecedented period of development, the City continues to enhance and add infrastructure to meet the increasing demand. An aggressive capital project program is underway with many projects complete, others in-progress, more set to soon begin and others in the development stages. One of the projects that kicked off this week is the Heideke-Martindale-Stremple Sanitary Sewer Extension.

The north side of Seguin is undergoing tremendous growth that’s anticipated to continue into the future. This project will extend and enhance sanitary sewer service to areas along SH 123 Bypass, north of IH 10. It includes 6,100 linear feet of sanitary sewer along Heideke Street, to Martindale Road and Stremple Road.

“It’s exciting to see the amount of growth occurring in town,” City Engineer Joe Ramos said. “Making sure we’re positioned to sustain such growth requires the upsizing of utilities where they no longer meet demand and the extension of service to new areas.”

Qro Mex Construction started the week of February 23 and is scheduled to be complete in late May. This is a $1.27-million capital improvement project.
