Seguin Public Library Seeking LEGO Donations for New Club
LEGO Club Set to Launch March 18

SEGUIN, Texas – The Seguin Public Library is seeking community support in launching a LEGO Club by accepting donations of new and used LEGO pieces.

“It’s spring cleaning time and there are likely a lot of kids who have grown out of playing with their old LEGOs,” Youth Services Librarian Hannah Farmer said. “If so, please consider donating those LEGOs to the Seguin Public Library.”

The Friends of the Library graciously donated a basic set to get the club started but library staff would love more so that children can be provided with fun, educational LEGO challenges. LEGO Club aims to support a STEAM-based education by helping children develop creativity, math concepts and problem-solving skills in an informal learning environment.

“We thank the community for the support necessary to provide this program,” Farmer continued.

Donations of LEGOs or compatible bricks will be accepted at the library during regular business hours. The use of the LEGO brand name does not reflect the company’s endorsement of the club.

The first LEGO Club meeting is scheduled for March 18 at 4:30 p.m. For more information, please call the library at 830-401-2422.
