Utility Drive-Thru Payment Window Access Affected by Construction
Slight Detour Necessary for Some

SEGUIN, Texas – A road closure near Seguin City Hall may require utility customers using the drive-thru payment window to take a slight detour.

Access to the City Hall parking lot via Mountain Street is blocked by construction. The easiest way to access the drive-thru payment window is by turning east onto Gonzales Street from Austin Street. There is a parking lot entrance on Gonzales Street that provides access to the drive-thru payment window. Please remember that Gonzales Street is one-way and turning west from Crockett Street is illegal. Citations may be issued for making the illegal turn.

The construction is part of the ongoing River/San Marcos/Heideke project. The portion of work currently underway is expected to take several weeks, however additional closures will be necessary as the two-year project moves forward.

About the RSMH Project
The River/San Marcos/Heideke project includes utility, storm drainage, water, electric and sewer upgrades. The streets will also be reconstructed and sidewalks added. The improvements will alleviate current concerns with storm water drainage, sewer issues and water pressure. Streets included in the entire project include Milam between and Nolte, San Marcos between Kingsbury and Court, River between College and Mountain, Mountain between River and Gravel, Bauer between Court and Mountain, four side streets between River and Austin, and a small portion in the Glen Clove Subdivision. Seguin City Council selected Jordan Foster Construction for the work. The project is expected to take two years to complete.
