May 4-10 Recognizes Public Employees

SEGUIN, Texas – Mayor Don Keil has proclaimed May 4-10, 2014 as Public Service Recognition Week in the City of Seguin. The proclamation was presented on the steps of City Hall on Tuesday, April 29.

Nationally celebrated the first week of May since 1985, Public Service Recognition Week (PSRW) is time set aside to honor the men and women who serve our nation as federal, state, county and local government employees. The theme for PSRW 2014 is “Proud to Serve.”

“Our public employees are essential to the success and productivity of our community,” Seguin Mayor Don Keil said. “Government can only be as good at the men and women who work for it and there are great people working for the City of Seguin.”

The City of Seguin employs 337 people on both a full-time and part-time basis.
