Work to Briefly Disrupt Natural Gas Service
CenterPoint Energy Crews Connecting Homes to New Lines

SEGUIN, Texas – CenterPoint Energy contract crews will soon begin replacing natural gas mains and service lines along San Marcos Street. This work will require natural gas service to be briefly interrupted while the gas meters are moved from the old lines to the new connections.

CenterPoint Energy contract crews will knock on customers’ doors to give notification prior to construction in the affected area. If contract crews are unable to make contact with the homeowner, a door hanger will be left at the home with notification when work will commence. If no one is at home and a meter has to be left off, the door hanger will contain a toll-free number (1-800-752-8036) that customers can call to have a Centerpoint Energy Service Technician come out to turn the gas meter on and relight appliances.

CenterPoint Energy’s work will begin in mid-April and last approximately a month. Customers along San Marcos Street, between Cedar and Court will be affected.

The work is part of the River/San Marcos/Heideke Street project.
