Mid-Texas Symphony to perform at library

SEGUIN, Texas – In celebration of National Poetry Month, the Mid-Texas Symphony Chamber Players will perform at the library.  The program, “Words and Music,” will showcase how the power of poetry is enhanced through the accompaniment of elegant chamber music. 

“The program will include chamber scores interspersed with poetry readings.  The ensemble includes 2 violins, 1 viola, 1 cello and a narrator who will read the poetry selections. This unique program will provide an opportunity for people of all ages to enjoy the beauty of chamber music in an informal and comfortable environment,” said Jacki Gross, Library Director.

The program will be held in the library community meeting room on Sunday, April 2nd at 4:00 p.m.  The program is free and open to the public.  This program is made possible through grants from the Texas Commission on the Arts and The Public Library Foundation.
