Fire Department Fan Drive starts June 1st

SEGUIN – The heat of summer is tough for all of us but imagine having to endure the scorching temperatures without air conditioning. Unfortunately, that’s the reality for many families and elderly people in Seguin. That’s why the Seguin Fire Department is hosting its annual Fan Drive.

“For many families, the fans we provide through this program are their only source of relief from our hot Texas summers,” said Fire Chief Dale Skinner.

Fans are available to households without air conditioning and live within the Seguin city limits starting June 1st. Fans may be picked up at the Municipal Court/Fire Administration building at 660 South Highway 46 between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. A picture ID and proof of residency is required. Limit one fan per household. If you received a fan last year, you are ineligible this year.

The Fire Department is always taking fan or money donations which can be dropped off at the Municipal Court/Fire Administration building. For additional information, contact Lisa Trevino with Seguin Fire/EMS at 401-2321 or by email at ltrevino@seguintexas.gov. ###
