Kyle Kramm to oversee newly combined Main Street/Convention & Visitors Bureau Department

SEGUIN, Texas – City Manager Douglas Faseler has announced his decision to combine the Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Main Street Program into one larger department. He also named current Main Street Director Kyle Kramm to head the combined department.
“I had no idea this was even a possibility. I’m honored to be given such an opportunity to expand the success we’ve seen with downtown, as far as visitors and business development, to the whole city,” said Kramm.
Faseler says the two departments have many of the same goals and responsibilities including marketing and promoting our city to potential businesses, visitors, and ultimately, increasing overnight stays in our hotels. He believes Kramm has the experience and proven leadership skills to lead this effort successfully.
“Kyle has shown that he can work on a multitude of projects including putting on big events, cultivating a positive environment for downtown business growth and leading our branding effort.  His downtown business owners love working with Kyle, and so do his colleagues at the city. I think he’s going to do great work in his new position,” said Faseler.
Kramm has been with the City of Seguin since 2009 when he became an intern with economic development. He was hired on as an Economic Development Specialist in 2010, and was promoted to Assistant Director of Economic Development in 2013.  He was named Main Street Director in June 2014. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a specialization in Public Administration and completed a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
Congrats to Kyle Kramm on his new endeavor with the City of Seguin! ###
