Rusty Pancoast Selected as Seguin's Interim Police Chief

SEGUIN, Texas – While the City of Seguin searches for a new, permanent Police Chief, Russell “Rusty” Pancoast has been selected to serve the role as Chief in an interim capacity.

Pancoast’s first day on the job is Tuesday, Dec. 18.

“I look forward to Rusty starting this week in an interim capacity, providing leadership to the department and serving in this management and administrative role,” said Doug Faseler, Seguin City Manager. “I anticipate him being fully credentialed next week by TCOLE to serve as the City of Seguin’s Interim Police Chief.”
Pancoast served the Lower Colorado River Authority for 14 years as a Security Administrator and as Director of Public Safety. In 2014, he retired as the City of Bee Cave Police Chief and has since held multiple Interim Police Chief positions for the cities of Brenham, Rusk and Ingram.
He earned both a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and a Master of Science degree in Security Administration from Southwest University.
