Schertz/Seguin Local Government Corporation Announces  Appointment of Operations Manager

SEGUIN, Texas – Amber Briggs Beard, General Manager of the Schertz/Seguin Local Government Corporation (SSLGC), is pleased to announce that Trino Pedraza has joined the Schertz/Seguin Local Government Corporation as Operations Manager. 

Pedraza has 13 years of experience in the water/wastewater and electric utilities industry, having served in roles ranging from Senior Control Technician at San Antonio Water System (SAWS) to Director of Water/Wastewater at both New Braunfels Utilities (NBU) and at the City of Griffin, Georgia.

During his time with NBU, Pedraza led the Electrical and Water AMI installation and Smart Grid integrations from ground zero, and he led the development of the 2018 Water Resources Plan. He also negotiated and executed the purchase of 10,500 acre-feet of water for New Braunfels Utilities.

While at SAWS, his team was awarded the best emerging predictive maintenance program by Reliability Web and Uptime Magazine.

Pedraza earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Phoenix and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering from ITT Technical Institute-Phoenix.

The SSLGC is a partnership between the cities of Schertz and Seguin producing and supplying water to their two cities as well as the City of Selma, the City of Universal City, the San Antonio Water System and the Springs Hill Water Supply Corporation.
