Residents Urged to Take Survey About Future of City's Parks

SEGUIN, Texas – Over the past couple of months, the Seguin Parks and Recreation Department has been working closely with Stantec Consulting to gather public feedback to include in a Parks, Recreation, Trails and Open Spaces Master Plan that will guide the City over the next 10 years.

Some input has already been collected via an initial survey at the City’s Fourth of July events, at a neighborhood park meeting and at a recent public engagement session. But more input from citizens is still needed.

Residents are being asked to take another more in-depth, 20-question online community survey.  By participating in the online survey, citizens will have an opportunity to help shape the future of Seguin’s parks system. The survey is available at (copy & paste link into web browser). The survey will be available until September 30, 2019.

Or use a mobile device to scan a QR Code on the 2019 Parks Master Plan webpage from the City’s website ( to be directed to the survey!

The result will be a Parks Master Plan that establishes a clear direction to guide city staff, advisory committees, and elected officials in their efforts to enhance the city's parks and recreation services and facilities well into the future.
