City Now Live-Streaming City Council Meetings

SEGUIN, Texas – City of Seguin residents are invited to sit back, relax and take in a Seguin City Council meeting from the comfort of their own homes. City Council meetings are now being live streamed on the City’s website, making it easy for anyone to watch the discussion and decision making in progress. Or, if you’re on the go, meetings can also be streamed live from your smart phone or other mobile device.

“The live-streaming service will replace the meetings that have been broadcast live via the City’s Facebook page since early spring, due to the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Jennifer Sourdellia, the City’s Public Information Officer.

“This new technology is giving the City the opportunity to be more open and transparent, allowing residents to watch gavel to gavel coverage of City Council discussions and legislative action,” she said.

All meetings are live and on-demand. A link to view the live streamed City Council meetings is available on the meeting agendas posted on the City’s website:

Seguin City Council meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month starting at 5:30 pm.

Residents can view Seguin City Council meetings as they happen and on-demand via all platforms capable of video playback — including desktop computers, laptops, smart phones and tablets. An indexed agenda accompanies the on-demand videos, making it easy for viewers to jump to topics or agenda items that are most relevant to them. On-demand videos are posted to the city’s website the following business day.

The City of Seguin is partnering with Granicus, which provides hands-free video streaming®, broadcast solutions to local, state and federal government agencies.
