City, County & GRMC Provide Joint Update on Local Vaccine Planning Efforts

SEGUIN, Texas - On Tuesday, January 19, 2021, the City of Seguin, Guadalupe Regional Medical Center and Guadalupe County submitted a joint mass vaccine plan to the Texas Department of State Health Services detailing how the community stakeholders will work together to deliver up to 1,000 vaccines per day if the State grants an allocation of the COVID-19 vaccine.

The plan includes setting up three large scale vaccine hubs in the County. One vaccine hub would be located at the Seguin Coliseum with other hubs planned for the West and North Sides of Guadalupe County pending confirmation of available facilities that can accommodate large volumes of people and vehicles.

There is not a waiting list for vaccines. If the State grants the allocation request we will clearly communicate the registration and scheduling process to the public.

The City of Seguin, Guadalupe Regional Medical Center and Guadalupe County are committed to helping ensure the COVID-19 vaccine is delivered to our community. We will update you as more information becomes available.
