Lindsay Hajek is City's Employee of the Month for January 2021

SEGUIN, Texas – The City of Seguin has selected Lindsay Hajek as the Employee of the Month for January 2021.

Lindsay, who serves as the Recreation Superintendent in the Parks and Recreation Department, was nominated for the award based on her dedication to the community, her positive can-do attitude and continuous commitment to quality that inspires everyone around her.

Throughout 2020, Lindsay played a key role in the implementation and roll-out of a new registration software system for the Parks and Recreation Department. She also worked in the interim while the search was underway for a new Assistant Parks and Recreation Director. In addition, she was praised for her creativity in modifying the City’s Summer Camp when the COVID-19 pandemic forced the camp to be re-located to the Seguin Coliseum. She not only modified the normal camp’s curriculum, but ensured the program was still fun, despite not being able take the children on regular field trips.  Under Lindsay’s leadership and supervision, the proper health protocols were put into place to keep the campers and staff safe all summer.

As a token of appreciation for her hard work and dedication to the City of Seguin, City Manager Steve Parker presented Lindsay with an Employee of the Month plaque and gift card.
