College Street intersection closed for two weeks

SEGUIN, Texas – Phase I of the River – San Marcos – Heideke Streets and Utility Project continues to move forward.  The latest closure to affect residents and drivers in this area will be a intersection closure beginning Wednesday, December 9th.

College Street at San Marcos Street will be shut down for approximately two weeks while contractor crews install some underground drainage structures. All thru-traffic will be directed south towards Elm Street during the closure.

“Drivers headed east or west on College Street will need use Elm Street from North Milam to North Bruns Street to safely navigate around the closed intersection,” said Nate Garza, City of Seguin Projects Manager.

Residents and emergency responders will be able to access the homes on College Street up to the point of the closed intersection. However, they will not be able to pass through it.
