KWED1580 AM/Seguin Daily News: Seguin officially welcomes Hiddenbrooke subdivision on State Hwy 46

(Seguin) -- Seguin's newest housing development is on its way up on the city's north side. Century Communities is just a couple of weeks away from selling its first house in the Hiddenbrooke Subdivision located off of State Highway 46 just across the Guadalupe County Humane Society.

Justin Cox, vice president of land for Century Communities in San Antonio, says the company is excited about offering these brand new and affordable homes to the Seguin community.
"We've got 500 total lots here. Phase one right now, we've got 140 lots on the ground. Our model home is about two weeks away from completion. We've got about 12 inventory homes on the ground already. We are getting ready to release our sales team for sales here in the next five to 10 days and we will open up for sales and be ready to start moving people in as soon as get them sold and closed. So a lot of excitement here," said Cox.

Cox says whether you are a growing family or empty nester, Hiddenbrooke is affordable housing being built with everyone in mind. 
"Here, we will start in the $160s, the low $200,000. We are targeting kind of the entry level and first time homebuyers. Again, we are selling quality of life, a great location and the ability to commute to work whether it's San Antonio, New Braunfels, San Marcos. You've got geographical accessibility, mobility and here again with this up and coming school district so a lot to be excited about. We are on the front end wave of this Seguin growth. We are kind of, I guess, leading the charge of the first community leading this new wave and glad to be first on the ground because we know a lot more is coming. We feel like we've got the best location to offer compared to everybody else," said Cox. 
Included in the project are nine affordable one-story and two-story floor plans ranging from 1,205 sq. ft. to 1,844 sq. ft. All plans also come with one or two-car garages. Cox says careful planning went into the design of the subdivision in hopes of improving the quality of life for all families.
"We've got park plans through the life of the community. We will have pocket parks with playgrounds. We will have walking trails. We will have some common areas so we've got a lot to offer homeowners. We've got a great location to I-10 and obviously to New Braunfels, depending on which way you commute to work, very accessible, great location and good schools with the city of Seguin so we are very excited to be out here. There's a ton of growth coming to Seguin and we feel like we are in the best location possible with a lot of great home sites to offer future homeowners," said Cox. 
According to the company's website, "within the neighborhood, there will be several pocket parks with playscapes, swings, BBQ grills, picnic tables, and open fields for a game of football or soccer."
Century Communities celebrated the housing development with the city of Seguin during a special groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday.
